St. Peter’s offers free Christmas concert

St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, 1475 Orchard Park Road, will present a free Christmas concert on Sunday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary. The concert will highlight St. Peter’s two musical groups, “Strike The Rock” under the direction of Mark Kasprzak and Chancel Choir under the direction of Alfred C. Plant, along with featured musicians. All are welcome to attend and enjoy an evening of uplifting spiritual music. There is no admission to this concert, but a freewill donation will be requested. Christmas bazaar brings Santa, crafts

Fourteen Holy Helpers Sodality of Our Lady will host its 58th Christmas bazaar from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, in Monsignor Ebner Hall, 1345 Indian Church Road. The event will feature Christmas Lane, Grandma’s Attic, mugs, gifts, home-baked goods, seasonal centerpieces and a toy booth. Children can meet Santa from 2 to 3:30 p.m. A Krolick’s chicken dinner will be available for $12, or $40 for a family of four. Raffles of a grocery bag, Lewis and Clark quilt, snack and candy booth, theme tray and wine bottle will be offered.

Knights of Columbus sets meat raffle

Father Baker Council Knights of Columbus will hold a meat raffle Saturday, Nov. 10, at 2838 South Park Ave. Doors open at 6 p.m. First spin of the wheel will be at 7 p.m. Admission of $5 per person includes a roast beef sandwich, draft beer and soda. A 50/50 raffle and door prizes will be offered. Music will be provided by “Nickel City Road Show.” Bring your own snacks and dollar bills. No children are allowed, and no alcohol can be brought into the hall. Proceeds will benefit the Lackawanna Catholic Club.

New Hope plans soup sale at church

New Hope United methodist Church will hold its annual soup sale from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Nov. 10 at the church, 2846 Seneca St. A variety of soup will be available to choose from and sold for takeout only in 1-quart containers. Use the Delray Avenue entrance.

New Hope plans community dinner

New Hope United Methodist Church will serve a free community dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at the church, 2846 Seneca St. Dinner will include meatloaf with sides, dessert and beverage. The meal is free as an outreach of the church; however, a freewill offering may be made if desired. Use the Delray Avenue entrance.
