West Seneca East Senior will present the world premiere of “Meet Me at the Gates, Marcus James.” Marcus Barney, above center, takes a trip to the office of the principal, played by Summer Grandinetti, along with his teacher, played by Tyler TinHan, after a noose was found in his locker. This play by Donna Hoke is adapted from the novella of the same name by Chris Crutcher. The show will begin at 7 p.m. tonight and 5 p.m. Friday, at the high school, 4760 Seneca St. Tickets are $8 general admission and will be available at the door. A portion of the ticket proceeds will benefit East Seniors’ Gay-Straight Alliance. West Seneca West Senior will present “Almost, Maine,” the play written by John Cariani, comprising nine short plays that explore love and loss in a remote, mythical almost-town called Almost, Maine. Brooke Antilla, right, explains to Adam Wojtulski that she thought it would be okay to camp in his yard because a brochure said that people from Maine are different. The show will open at 7 p.m. tonight, and continue through Saturday, at the high school, 3330 Seneca St. Tickets are $8 general admission and will be sold at the door one hour prior to each show.
