New office, website, logo, goals for Chamber

by JOSEPH KIRCHMYER
Executive Director, West Seneca Chamber of Commerce

My name is Joe Kirchmyer and on May 1, I began my training with Kelly Oldenburg to take over as the Chamber’s new executive director. For those of you who don’t know me, I am a lifelong resident of West Seneca and a small business owner of Kirchmyer Media, LLC. and BuffaloScoop.com. I have spent my entire career working in marketing and communications, including 20 years at The Buffalo News.

Currently, a lot of changes are taking place within the Chamber. We moved into the new West Seneca Community Center effective July 2. We have a new logo featuring two arrows reflecting our Native American heritage; one pointed in a forward direction to our “unlimited future,” and the second a nod to our “proud past.” We have also introduced a new website which can be found at www.westseneca.org. We’re still making some final adjustments to the site, but it will be far easier to navigate and update than our old site, and it will be updated with Chamber and business news every weekday.

We have several events coming up in the immediate future, including our sold-out Moondance Cruise on Thursday,

July 12, our Taste of West Seneca event on Sunday, Sept. 2, and our annual Golf Tournament on Monday, Sept. 17. Golfers, sponsors and donors are still needed for the Golf Tournament. Please contact me if you’d like more information.

My goal is to make 2019 a year of change, with new programs and a renewed commitment to make your membership more meaningful while creating positive change in West Seneca. Your support through this transition would be greatly appreciated.

In the meantime, if you need to reach me or would like to set up a meeting to discuss your membership or any ideas you may have for the Chamber, email me at jkirchmyer@verizon.net or call me at 674-4900.
