Chamber, BBB offer member webinar series

Members of the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce are invited to participate in a series of free and informative business builder webinars being offered by the Better Business Bureau. The webinars will take place from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesdays July 31 and Aug. 7, and Wednesday, Sept. 12.

According to Executive Director Joseph Kirchmyer, the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce is a Better Business Bureau Community Partner.

“We are very proud of our relationship with the BBB, and excited to offer this added-value programming to our members,” Kirchmyer said.

Interested members may register on the chamber’s website at westseneca.org.

The webinar schedule is as follows:

July 31 “Social Media and Business: The good, bad and profitable side of being connected”

Participants will discuss everything from the basics of setting up and posting to an account, to when and where to place ads that reach target audiences, and how marketing on the newest networks can put businesses ahead of the competition. Join Chris Wronski of W Marketing Group as he helps navigate the world of social media.

Aug. 7 “Managing Four Generations In the Workplace”

Join members as Greg Lindberg from the U.S. Small Business Administration discusses managing multiple generations in the workplace. Multiple generations of workers are currently in the workplace and they all have different working styles. In this program, participants will learn and understand the differences in generations and how managers and business owners can leverage these differences for increased effectiveness.

Sept. 12 “Exceptional Customer Service: Your Key to Unlocking Hidden Profits”

Recent Harvard Business School research indicates that acquiring a new customer is anywhere from 5 to 25 times more expensive than retaining an existing customer. Join BBB’s Melanie McGovern and Frank Swiatek of Frank Swiatek and Associates for this lunch and learn webinar that focuses on the mindsets, skills and behaviors that create loyal customers.
