Library plans annual trivia fundraiser

The West Seneca Public Library will host its annual trivia fundraiser, for ages 18 and older, to benefit the library’s expansion project from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 8, at the West Seneca Senior Citizens Center, 4620 Seneca St. Prizes will be given for first- and second-place teams. Team registration is $80 for up to four players and $20 for individual registration. Refreshments and a basket raffle will be offered. There is no charge to participate in the basket raffle. Amana Garden Club to see demonstration

Amana Garden Club will meet from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, at Ebenezer United Church of Christ, 630 Main St. The business meeting will start at 11 a.m., followed by a bag lunch and desserts and beverages provided by the hostesses. Members will experience a design demonstration of May Day Traditions by Amy Miller, presented at 1 p.m. New members are welcome. Call 844-8543 for more information.

Ladies of Charity plan ‘Party Saturday’

The Buffalo Ladies of Charity will hold its inaugural event “Party Saturday” gift card raffle at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at Catholic Charities, 75 Caldwell Place, Lackawanna. More than 30 gift cards will be awarded. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door, and include two slices of pizza and a drink. Each round is $2. A basket and split club drawing will also be available. Gift card and basket donations of a $25 or greater value are being accepted. Call 895-4001 for more information.

Spaghetti dinner an all-you-can-eat event

Covenant United Methodist Church, located at 539 Main St., will offer an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 14. Dinners are $8 for adults, $5 for children ages 5 to 10, and free for children younger than 5. Handicap accessibility is available at the rear entrance to the church. Vigilant serves pulled pork fundraiser

Vigilant Fire Company will hold its third annual pulled pork fundraiser to benefit the scholarship fund from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 15, in the Key Bank parking lot on the corner of Seneca Street and Union Road. Pulled pork sandwiches are $7, and dinners are $10 at the drive-thru and will include coleslaw and beans. Stop by to meet local volunteer firefighters and Sparky the Fire Dog. Surprises will be available for all children who visit.

St. Peter’s sets Bravo food, wine pairing

St. Peter’s United Church of Christ will hold its ninth annual Food and Wine Pairing fundraiser on Sunday, April 15, at Bravo Cafe, 5781 Seneca St. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., and dinner and pairings begin at 5 p.m. Bravo’s owner has designed a menu that will pair wines with a gourmet meal, including appetizers, entree and dessert. Tickets are $50 each, not including gratuity, and are available only in advance at Bravo, by calling 674-1233, or stopping by the church office, 1475 Orchard Park Road, West Seneca.

Guest recalls famous Buffalo music stories

Rick Falkowski, founder of the Music Hall of Fame in Buffalo, will visit the Ebenezer Seniors at 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 20, at Ebenezer United Church of Christ, 630 Main St. He will take visitors back in time to the beginning of Buffalo’s rich entertainment heritage through his book, “History of Buffalo Music and Entertainment,” which includes the Christy’s Minstrels, vaudeville, big band jazz, and the Crystal Beach Ballroom.
