Fourteen Holy Helpers plans Lenten retreat

The Fourteen Holy Helpers Church will hold a Lenten retreat from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 10, in the church’s Monsignor Ebner Hall, 1345 Indian Church Road. Guest speakers, music and group activities will be held. Lunch will be provided at no cost. Call the rectory at 674-2374 to register. The event is sponsored by the Holy Name Society.

East Seneca to hold meat raffle March 10

East Seneca Fire Company will hold a meat raffle Saturday, March 10, at the fire hall, 100 Lein Road. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the raffle starting at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 and includes sandwiches and refreshments. For more information, call 984-9818.

Program to discuss dementia research

Fellowship Wesleyan sets Easter egg hunt

Fellowship Wesleyan Church will hold its annual Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 31, at the church, 1645 Southwestern Blvd., across from the YMCA. The hunt is for children age 3 to fifth grade. Family activities will follow at 1 p.m. The event is free and offers candy and prizes, games and crafts. Professional artist workshop planned

Artist Entrepreneur: A Professional Artist Workshop with Sara Goldhawk will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, at Enjoy The Journey Art Gallery, 1168 Orchard Park Road. Because being an artist means running a business, the workshop will offer new ideas and strategies for creating income. Trinity fundraiser seeks local support

Trinity Christian School, 146 Reserve Road, will hold a spaghetti dinner fundraiser from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 17, to support scholarship funds providing tuition assistance for families seeking a Christian education. The school is seeking donations of cash, services or products from businesses and organizations to aid the event. Intro to fly fishing adult course set

The Lake Erie Chapter of Fly Fishers International will hold “Introduction to Fly Fishing,” a course for adults, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays at East Middle School, 1445 Center Road. Classes run through March 13, covering the basics of fly fishing — setup, knots, casting and fly tying. All materials for the course will be supplied by the instructor. Library plans annual trivia fundraiser

The West Seneca Public Library will host its annual trivia fundraiser, for ages 18 and older, to benefit the library’s expansion project from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 8, at the West Seneca Senior Citizens Center, 4620 Seneca St. Prizes will be given for first and second-place teams. Team registration is $80 for up to four players and $20 for individual registration. Refreshments and a basket raffle will be offered. There is no charge to participate in the basket raffle. Ladies of Charity plan ‘Party Saturday’

The Buffalo Ladies of Charity will hold its inaugural event “Party Saturday” gift card raffle at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at Catholic Charities, 75 Caldwell Place, Lackawanna. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door, and include two slices of pizza and a drink. Each round is $2. A basket and split club drawing will also be available.
