McGuire Group honors employee

Johnson Johnson Barb Johnson recently celebrated her five-year employment anniversary with The McGuire Group, operator of six health care facilities in New York state, including Seneca Health Care Center in West Seneca.

As the director of The McGuire Group’s Journeys palliative care program, Johnson is responsible for program development and supervision, hiring and training, hosting support groups, and presenting information within the community about the program.

The Journeys program is available at The McGuire Group’s four Erie County facilities, including Autumn View Health Care Facility in Hamburg, Garden Gate Health Care Facility in Cheektowaga, Harris Hill Nursing Facility in Lancaster and Seneca Health Care Center.

Johnson holds a bachelor of science degree in psychology and gerontology from the University at Buffalo.

She is a member of Advanced Care Planning and End of Life, and Social Work Hospice and Palliative Care Network.

She resides in Clarence with her husband, Tim, and has three sons in college, Erik, Matt and Nick. All three of her children are runners. In her spare time, she enjoys walking her dogs.
