Seniors to hear violinist Feb. 3

Violinist Peter Van Scozza will visit the Ebenezer Seniors during its February meeting to share his music with the group. Van Scozza plays and is involved with the Orchard Park Methodist Church. The meeting begins at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, and Van Scozza will be playing and entertaining at 1:30, at Ebenezer United Church of Christ, 630 Main St. All are welcome to join to hear his music. Bus trip to Seneca Niagara Casino set

A bus trip to the Seneca Niagara Casino is planned for Monday, Feb. 6. The bus will depart at 9 a.m. from the Fourteen Holy Helpers parking lot, 1350 Indian Church Road, and return at 6 p.m. The trip includes a buffet lunch and $30 free play. Call 668-6037 to register or for more information.

Amana garden club to meet Feb. 8

The Amana Garden Club will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8 at Ebenezer United Church of Christ, 616 Main St. Members are asked to bring a lunch, beverage and a functional Valentine place setting which will be critiqued as part of the program, and any rooted houseplants they care to trade.

Covenant makes soup for sale Feb. 11

Covenant United Methodist Church will hold a homemade soup sale from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11. Take out only. A variety of soups will be available for $8 a quart. Call 674-6869 weekdays for more information.

Annual West musical alumni night set

The West Seneca West Alumni Association, in partnership with the West Seneca West Theater Department, will hold its annual Musical Alumni Night at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 11, at the school, 3330 Seneca St. Past cast and crew are invited to a reception at West Senior, prior to the Saturday evening performance of “Mary Poppins — The Broadway Musical.” For further information and ticket reservations, contact the West Seneca West “Mary Poppins” box office line at 677-3421. Queen of Angels plans spaghetti dinner

The Queen of Angels Holy Name Society will host a spaghetti dinner from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12 at the church, 144 Warsaw St. Dinner includes spaghetti and meatballs, salad, homemade desserts, coffee, tea and pop. Beer and wine will also be available. Dinner is $10 for adults, and $5 for children younger than 12. Take out is available. For tickets, call the rectory at 826-0880.

Meat raffle to benefit East baseball

A meat raffle to benefit the West Seneca East baseball program will take place Saturday, Feb. 18, at The Chicken Coop, VFW Post 8113, 299 Leydecker Road. Doors open at 6 p.m. First spin is at 7 p.m. There will be 50/50s, a lottery tree and a gift card raffle. The $5 admission includes beer and pop. Bring your own snacks. No outside alcohol is allowed. For tickets, call Nancy Gospodarski at 949-3746. There must be a minimum of eight people to reserve seating.
