Burchfield’s spring camp runs next week

The Burchfield Nature & Art Center will host “Spring Wonders Camp” from April 10-12 for students in kindergarten through the fourth grade.

Activities will run from 1 to 3 p.m. each day. The children will experience wonders of the natural world and learn about animal instincts, the wind and plant growth. Indoor and outdoor activities — weather permitting — will include games, observation in the park, and make-and-take projects. Participants will make a nature bag, pinwheel, bird’s nest, butterfly and turtle. They will also paint and plant a flowerpot.

The activities are broken down by day:

Tuesday, April 10 — “Do you see what I see?”

Wednesday, April 11 — “Spring things”

Thursday, April 12 — “How does your garden grow?”

The cost for each child is $10 per session or $25 for all three sessions. Additional children within the same family cost $7.50 each, per session, or $18 each for all three sessions.

Class size is limited, so early registration is encouraged. Call 677-4843 or stop into the Burchfield at 2001 Union Road.
