Queen of Heaven Home School Guild plans casino night

The Queen of Heaven Home School Guild has planned its “Casino and Sweepstakes Night” for Saturday, March 24, at the Queen of Heaven parish center, 4420 Seneca St.

The event will run from 7 to 11 p.m. and will feature such Vegas-style gaming as black jack and dice and wheel games, as well as carnival games, food concessions, a bar, Chinese Auction, raffles and the Lucky Duck.

In addition, grand prize drawings worth a total of $11,000 will be raffled away that evening; winner need not be present.

Tickets cost $30 per person, which includes entry in the cash drawings as well as food and drinks. Tickets will be sold by Queen of Heaven School families and also at the parish rectory, located at 839 Mill Road.

Donations will be accepted for gift cards, bottles of wine and liquor, and other auction items. Guests must be 18 or older.

“We are proud that our school offers very reasonable tuition for our families,” said Dale McCormick, president of the guild, “But the truth is, the cost of tuition does not cover the cost of a private education. We offset that with our fundraising efforts and support from our parish.”

“We are really hoping the community comes out and joins us for this fun filled night,” he added.

For ticket information, contact the school at 674-5206.
