Bee Heard

.To the caller who referenced Jan Dalbo for being at the Thursday night performance of the East Senior play; that is true. She was there; however, she was the only one from the board. So one of our seven board members attended and one of three school administrators attended. Still an overall lack of support for our children and the arts.

.At the meetings, Sheila Meegan said the reason taxes are increasing is because we haven’t fixed anything in the town for all these years. Well, our taxes have increased just about every year, so why aren’t they fixing anything? Maybe we should look at what we waste in this town; don’t blame it on the infrastructure.

.Waste Management picks up our recyclable items with one person in the truck, so why does the town still have three people in its garbage trucks? It’s a waste of taxpayer money. To put icing on the cake, on Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend, I witnessed three men on the big truck (truck that handles appliances, mattresses, etc.). You do not need three people; you have a power tailgate. You drag the stuff to the power tailgate. Another huge waste of money. Unbelievable.

.I want to thank our West Seneca Highway crew for providing a service above par for me. Yes, my taxes are high, but you get what you pay for. Thank you.
