Gallivan, Chamber to host small business event Oct. 3

Gallivan Gallivan Sen. Patrick Gallivan is once again teaming up with the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce and leaders in business development to present a small business summit from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, at Southgate Plaza on Union Road.

“Operating a successful business is rewarding, but it can also be a real challenge,” Gallivan said. “We have conducted a series of small business summits throughout the district to give entrepreneurs and small business owners an opportunity to learn important business techniques and to share their experiences with others.”

Gallivan is a member of the Senate committee on Commerce, Economic Development and Small Business and served as co-chair of a statewide committee on Regulatory Reform, working to eliminate burdensome rules and regulations that drive up business costs.

The summit will also feature

Frank Swiatek, who serves as the senator’s Senior Advisor for Small Business.

Swiatek is a private sector consultant who has worked with numerous small businesses and more than 25 Fortune 500 companies. He will discuss ways business owners and employees can focus time, energy and resources to improve business results.

Anyone interested in attending the event can register or get more information by calling Sen. Gallivan’s office at 656-8544.
