Bee Heard

.As a town resident and taxpayer, why am I not allowed to play baseball with my three young children at Firemen’s Park at 10 am during the week? I was told I had to leave, something about needing a permit. I thought the taxes I pay as a resident is my permit.

.Why didn’t the caller who claims taxes in Elma are $1,200 a year buy the house? That’s a heck of a deal.

.Town taxes in Elma are almost nonexistent. They have very little infrastructure, no sidewalks, no police force, no sewers, no garbage pickup. They have a sleek town government. There is no general town tax; there are a few minor special districts for fire, utilities, drainage and lighting but that’s about it. Obviously, West Seneca’s town government is way too heavy, and that’s why we pay so much.
