Shriner’s to hold winter chicken BBQ

The Shriner’s of Western New York will hold a winter chicken barbecue from noon to 4 p.m., or until sold out, Sunday, Feb. 26, at The Shrine Center, 1600 Southwestern Blvd. The cost is $10 per person and includes a 2-lb. half-chicken, two salads and a roll. ‘Ticket to Read’ raffle planned at library

The West Seneca Public Library will offer a teens “Ticket to Read” program through Tuesday, Feb. 28. Young people age 12 to 17 are welcome to join by picking up a reading ticket at the desk. For every book read, fill out a ticket and return it to the library by Feb. 28 to be entered into a raffle to win an Amazon tablet. Bus trip to Seneca Niagara Casino set

A bus trip to the Seneca Niagara Casino is planned, departing at 9 a.m. from the Fourteen Holy Helpers parking lot, 1350 Union Road, and returning at 6 p.m. The trip includes a free buffet lunch. Call 668-6037 for more information or to register.

Ebenezer UCC carves out roast beef dinner

Ebenezer United Church of Christ’s annual roast beef dinner will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, at the church, 630 Main St. Tickets are $12 for adults; $6 children age 4 to 12; and children under 3 are free. Dinner includes roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, coleslaw, bread and butter, beverage, and dessert. St. David’s arranges ‘Ashes to Go’ service

St. David’s Episcopal Church will offer regular Ash Wednesday Services at noon and 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, at the church, 3951 Seneca St. To accommodate those who do not wish to attend a regular Ash Wednesday service but want the connection of long-held traditions, “Ashes to Go” will be offered from 4 to 5:30 p.m. People are invited to drive through the parking lot to the doors of St. David’s to receive the ashes and a prayer on the go.

Carmarie’s Seniors to perform March 3

Ebenezer Seniors will welcome the Carmarie’s Seniors to sing and dance their way through their favorite songs from the past at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 3, at Ebenezer United Church of Christ, 630 Main St. The show will follow the seniors’ regular meeting at 1 p.m. For more information, call 674-4566.
