BBQ chicken, rib dinner to be held Sept. 19

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church will hold a Weidner’s BBQ chicken and rib dinner, and Tupperware party, on Saturday, Sept. 19, at the church, 3512 Clinton St. The chicken BBQ starts at noon. Dinners are $10 presale, $11 at the door. A limited supply of ribs will be available for an additional $7 the day of the event. The Tupperware sale will start at 11 a.m. Call 440-8173 for dinner tickets and 823-2071 for preordering Tupperware.

Covenant offers chicken and biscuit dinner

Covenant United Methodist Church will hold a chicken and biscuit dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at the church, 539 Main St. Dinner includes chicken and biscuits, salad, beverage and dessert. Tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for children 10 and under. There will be a Country Kitchen with homemade treats to take home. Call 674-6869 before 11 a.m. weekdays for more information.

Vigilant to hold annual meat raffle

Vigilant Fire Company will hold its annual meat raffle at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at the fire hall, 666 Main St. Doors open at 5 p.m. Admission is $4 and includes beer, pop, a roast beef sandwich, chips and pickle. Meat raffle, 50/50 drawing and WNY’s best grand finale of winners choice will be offered. Presale tickets and table reservations are available by calling 796-8701. Reservations are recommended and all table reservations must be prepaid. Meats are from Camillo’s Sloan Super Market.
