Man accused in possession of controlled substance

West Seneca resident Scott Polanowski, 35, has been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

On Friday, West Seneca police were called to the 7-Eleven on Southwestern Boulevard on the report of a man sitting in the store in subzero weather, wearing only shorts.

According to police, the reporting officer recognized Polanowski as having a history with controlled substances and asked him if he had any illegal drugs on his person.

Polanowski allegedly produced five pills suspected to be oxycodone.

He was arrested and brought to the police station, where Town Justice Dale McCabe set bail at $2,500.
