Community of Churches sets Lenten Journey to Easter

Each week during the Lenten period, area churches will host “Lent - A Time of Trial,” to include worship, guest preaching and fellowship.

Sponsored by the West Seneca Community of Churches, the services will begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays at the designated church with refreshments offered afterward.

The schedule is as follows:

March 4 — Queen of Heaven Church, 4220 Seneca St. The preacher will be the Rev. Edward Ihde, pastor at St. Nicholas Church.

March 11 —Trinity Lutheran Church, 146 Reserve Road. The preacher will be the Rev. Dennis Kreuger, pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church.

• March 18 — Ebenezer United Church of Christ, 630 Main St. The preacher will be the Rev. Richard Zajac, chaplain at Sisters Hospital.

• March 25 — St. Nicholas Anglican Church, 2784 Seneca St. The preacher will be the Rev. William Gallagher, pastor emeritus at St. John Vianney.

This year’s Good Friday service, “The Seven Last Words,” will be offered from noon to 3 p.m. Friday, April 3, at Covenant United Methodist Church, 539 Main St.
