Marshall C. Hulse Jr., Moog senior technical writer

Hulse Hulse Marshall C. Hulse Jr., 71, of West Seneca, died Friday, March 21, 2014.

Mr. Hulse was born in Lackawanna on Jan. 29, 1943. He was a graduate of South Park High School and earned an associate degree in mechanical technology from Erie County Technical Institute in 1963.

From 1964 to 1970, he served in the Army National Guard. Then, in 1972 he was hired as a senior technical writer for Moog Aerospace Corp. in East Aurora, where he wrote overhaul and maintenance manuals and performed testing for F-15s and various space programs. He retired in 2005.

With a love of cars and motorcycles, he built a dune buggy in the early ’70s. His prize possession was a ’63 red Corvette. He belonged to the Moog softball and bocce leagues and was known to be “a bit of a pool shark.”

Mr. Hulse is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann (nee Nice); one daughter, Kimberly Allen; one son, Jeffrey; five grandchildren; one goddaughter, Michele Sambas; and best friend, Donald Johnson.

A funeral service was held March 26 from Amigone Funeral Home.
