Any male basketball player entering fifth through ninth grades at their school in the fall and looking to improve their game has a way to do so in July.

The 2012 Maryvale Basketball Camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, July 23, through Friday, July 27, at Maryvale High School, 1050 Maryvale Drive in Cheektowaga. The cost of the camp is $25, and enrollment is limited.

The camp aims to present participants with the fundamentals of basketball so that each player increases his understanding of the sport, to instruct on an individual and group basis to develop each player’s skills, to expose each player to the philosophies and techniques of various coaches and players, and to help players develop a competitive spirit, athletic skill and good sportsmanship through individual instruction and supervised competition.
