The Southgate Plaza in West Seneca annually awards a scholarship to high school seniors who reside in or attend school in the Town of West Seneca. The scholarship is available to both private and public high schools. Students may contact their guidance office for an application or the Southgate Plaza Management Office at 674-5050.

Kids Escaping Drugs in West Seneca recently accepted a check donation in the amount of $4,059 from the Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant, located in the Walden Galleria Mall. The restaurant held a three-day fundraising event for the organization as part of its grand opening.

The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, in the Building 5 cafeteria at Erie Community College’s South Campus, 4041 Southwestern Blvd. The NFTA plans to reduce services, including the elimination of several routes to areas in the Southtowns. The public hearing will give residents a chance to speak their concerns to NFTA officials.
