Allendale students in a ‘School Daze’

Students at Allendale Elementary will give audience members a parody look at a typical school day in its first musical production.

The school will perform the musical “School Daze” on Feb. 2-3 in the Allendale auditorium, 1399 Orchard Park Road in West Seneca. Showtime for both nights will be 7 p.m.

The 40-minute show will be performed by 39 Allendale sixth-graders. They’ve been rehearsing since October.

“School Daze,” written by Janet Gardner and orchestrated and produced by Alan Billingsley, takes place in a middle school setting. It is a comedy about students’ experiences during the typical school day.

At Allendale, music teacher Emily Creech is directing the production.

Some of the songs include “Concert Etiquette Rap,” “Cafeteria Confusion,” “I Love My Locker” and “Detention.”

Tickets are $4 and will be available at the door.
