Grant given to small business program offered through CCCS of Buffalo

Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Buffalo Inc. has been offered a $2,000 grant from Lake Shore Savings Bank to expand its Small Business Counseling Program.

The program aims to provide individualized counseling and group seminars to budding entrepreneurs, as well as the necessary tools and support to help a business grow and develop.

Specific topics that are addressed through the program include: credit report review and credit scores, assistance with disputing discrepancies on credit reports, creation of a realistic budget and cash flow issues.

Other partners involved in the Small Business Counseling Program are the IRS, SBDC Niagara, SBDC Buffalo, Loretta Kaminsky, the SBA and Canisius College Women’s Business Center.
