Collaboration is key to Chamber success
Collaborate: the word is defined in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary as an intransitive verb; “to work jointly with others or together especially in an intellectual endeavor.”
Yes, please! I would like to make a reservation for a table. How about 47,000 to 50,000? We will be having breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between.
Seriously, though — how can we get that many people “to the table” at one time?
It all starts with a serving of positive character and side course of collaboration in mind.
Here at the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce office, we have gone through many changes in the past year. All have been good. But in my opinion, it has been the collaboration of our office along with our board of directors interacting within so many circles. These relationships have developed and improved in our town with our business partners, governmental leaders, school and youth groups, and the service and faith-based organizations. All of these efforts have been the key to our success, growth and improvement in our community. This collaborative reach has also extended to and from the Buffalo-Niagara region, our state capital and even to Washington, D.C., on a few occasions.
First and foremost, we are about working with our current members while also introducing new members to the opportunities that we can help them with to improve and grow their business. This is paramount. Our membership is our lifeline, and we are here in support of them while also having a relevancy in our community.
You can hear more about the great things we have going on by attending any of the events or programs that we offer. Our recently released schedule can be viewed at www.WestSeneca.org. Also, visit our office in Southgate Plaza or call us at 674-4900.
For any individual or business, a membership with the West Seneca Chamber of Commerce is reasonable. It costs no more than a gym membership, a monthlong coffee tab at Christe’s Restaurant (in my case) or even a pair of tickets to a Sabres game. I can guarantee that having an investment with us, you will sweat a bit less, have lower caffeine consumption and your stress level and bad language will be improved. Contact me at director@westseneca.org if the Chamber can help you to grow your business or help you collaborate in town. There is a seat at the table waiting for you — Dutch treat?
