Burchfield exhibit reflects on nature

The “My Vision ... An Eclectic Journey” art exhibit by Veronica Benes will be on display in the Burchfield Nature & Art Center Gallery from Sunday, Feb. 5, through Sunday, March 4.

A reception with refreshments will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10.

Benes’ work will feature a variety of media including oil, watercolor, ink, pencil, pastel, sepia and acrylic. She is an author and illustrator of several children’s books and an art educator at Immaculata Academy in Hamburg. She has exhibited her work in many shows and galleries in Western New York.

Her work reflects her joy in nature and draws on her life-long experience as an artist and teacher. She uses her knowledge to depict the natural world with accuracy and unique expression.

The center’s gallery, located at 2001 Union Road in West Seneca, is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays.
