Navy Seaman Cody Lewis and Navy Seaman Recruit Steven Lownie both recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Lewis is a 2010 graduate of West Seneca East Senior High School. Lownie is a 2010 graduate of West Senior High School and is the son of Laurie A. Lownie of West Seneca.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Gregory Showalter graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Showalter, a 2007 graduate of West Seneca East High School, earned distinction as an honor graduate. He is the son of Christine and Gregory Showalter of West Seneca.
