Friday, April 16
• A custodian at Northwood Elementary School reported a 19-inch by 30-inch window pane on the second level had been broken, causing $230 in damage. The complainant said a lacrosse ball or baseball may have shattered the window, as neighborhood children often play on school grounds in the evening.

Saturday, April 17 • Police stopped a young man on Mineral Springs Road for operating a vehicle without a left-side mirror. A computer check showed his driver’s license was suspended.

Sunday, April 18
• A Lockport man was stopped on Clinton Street for driving without wearing a seatbelt. Further investigation revealed his driver’s license had been revoked for 11 suspensions, including failure to answer a summons and driving while intoxicated, as well as several other alcohol-related offenses. Patrol also confiscated three white pills, suspected to be hydrocodone, found in a plastic bag in the suspect’s front pocket.
• Patrol stopped a young female on Seneca Street because of a positive hit on the License Plate Reader; the vehicle’s registration was suspended because of several parking violations.
• A resident of Fieldcrest Lane reported that damage was done to his vehicle’s compact disc player, estimated to cost $300, and that an iPhone charger worth $40 had been stolen.
• A Depew man was stopped on Clinton Street and ticketed because he was driving with a suspended vehicle registration. During the traffic stop, the computer system temporarily went down as a result of weekly maintenance, so patrol could not check the validity of the driver’s license. When the system rebooted, patrol found the man’s driver’s license was also suspended and notified him via telephone that another ticket (for aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree) was waiting for him at Town Hall.

Monday, April 19
• Patrol stopped a speeding vehicle on Clinton Street and found the driver, a Louisiana man, to have bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, impaired motor skills and a strong odor of alcohol emanating from his breath. After failing several sobriety tests, the subject allegedly registered a 0.12 percent on an alcohol breath test, but he refused to submit to a breathalyzer at the police station. He was ticketed for both speeding and driving while intoxicated.
• A Fieldcrest Lane man reported that a JVC compact disc player and radio, worth $300, were removed from his unlocked vehicle sometime during the night.
• Patrol stopped a Buffalo woman on Mineral Springs Road for a suspended vehicle registration, and a computer check revealed that her driver’s license also was suspended.

• Patrol found that the driver’s license of a young Buffalo female, who was involved in an accident on Ridge Road, was suspended.

Thursday, April 22
• An employee of an Orchard Park Road gas station reported that someone pumped $73.08 worth of gasoline into a red Dodge Durango with tinted windows and a license plate that began with “5NP” and left without paying.
• A woman from Long Beach, Calif., reported an identity theft incident after charges totaling $81.98, made from the West Seneca area, were found on her credit card.
• A security officer at Southgate Plaza reported finding a small steel bolt lying on the sidewalk directly below a damaged window. The cost of damage is said to be in excess of $250.
